Forest of Nepal

Nepal is blessed with natural beauty. It is rich in natural resources. The forest is one of these resources. Its most parts are covered with green forests. The forest provides habitation to the wildlife. It plays vital role for the economic prosperity of the country.

The climate influences the vegetation. Thus, the forests of Nepal are categorized as per the influence of climate. Evergreen forest is found in Terai and  Chure hills up to the altitude of twelve hundred meters from the sea level. Deciduous forest is found in Mahabharata range and hilly region whereas culmiferous forest is found in Himalayan region.

We often say, "Green forests are greatest wealth of Nepal." In we use our forest resources properly and aptly, we can find out destiny and fortune in the forest resources. The forests are the natural shelters of wild animals. It enhances the natural beauty of the place. Hence tourism can be flourished. We can find medicinal herbs in forests. Forests influence climate, increase intensity of rainfall and stop flood and landslides. Furthermore, we can get firewood, timber and grass from forest.

These days, the forest of Nepal is quite miserable state. It is being cleared for different purposes. Timber Smuggling and rapid population growth are the major causes of the destruction of the forest of Nepal. People destroy the forest for settlement and cultivation. They cut down trees for regarding the importance of the forest resource. sometimes we happen to see or hear the forest being destroyed by fire.

Undoubtedly we get many advantages from the forests. The beauty of the nation and its development depend on the forest resources. But preservation of the forest in our country implement effetely to preserve the forest so as to lessen natural disasters and catastrophe. The communities should be down the trees must be totally banned. Similarly, afforestation programmed should be launched timely in needy places.

The forests of Nepal are a source of national development and are worth preserving. Now they are miserable condition. It has beef too late to read measures for the preservation Thus, We should effectively work to preserve our natural heritage at any cost without any delay.
